Lack of quality professional development for teachers and teacher educators leads to inappropriate teaching practices, due to which many children in Indian classrooms fail to achieve basic literacy skills (ASER, NAS). LLF aims to bridge this gap by providing high-quality in-service and pre-service professional development to teachers and teacher educators on early language and literacy. The professional development is delivered through blended distance learning courses, as well as through systematic engagements with targeted states, which currently include Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chhattisgarh and UP.
