About the Campaign

stories bg

The #BuniyaadKalKi campaign (13 – 21 November 2025) celebrates both Rashtriya Bal Diwas (14 November) and World Children’s Day (20 November). It brings together stories, reflections and collaborations that celebrate every child’s right to learn, grow and dream. Through voices from classrooms and education leaders across India, the campaign shines a light on how collective action can help every child build a strong foundation for the future.

Young Voices, Big Dreams

I’m Arpandeep Singh from Barnala, Punjab and my school has helped me believe that I can learn and do anything I dream of. I still remember how quiet everything felt when I first joined school. I couldn’t hear what my teacher said and speaking was hard for me. But slowly, things changed. My teachers never stopped trying — they spoke to me with their eyes, hands and hearts.

Renu ma’am, my Maths teacher, always finds a way to make me understand. She uses gestures and expressions and I read her lips to follow along. Because of her, I can now recognise numbers, solve sums and understand concepts that once felt impossible.

In our school, no one is left behind. We all play, learn and celebrate together — from bhangra to kho-kho. It feels like a big, happy family.

“I’m Jhanvi from Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh and my school has taught me that studying can be full of joy, colour and dreams. When I first started going to school, I didn’t want to leave my mother’s hand. Everything felt new and strange and I was scared to sit in class. But slowly, that changed. Now, I wake up early and wait for school to start, it’s the happiest part of my day.

In our school, we don’t have to carry heavy bags. We learn through stories, pictures and games. The walls are full of colourful charts, letters and numbers. Preeti ma’am, my teacher, always finds new ways to make learning exciting. She makes us count with sticks and stones, sing rhymes and draw what we learn.

Ma’am also meets our mothers and shows them how they can help us study at home. That’s how I got my own study corner — a small table where I keep my books and pencils. My mother sits with me there and we learn together.

Now, I can read small stories, count easily and even help my friends in class. Learning doesn’t scare me anymore — it makes me happy.”
