India's FLN Crisis
We support state governments in designing and operationalizing state-owned FLN missions in line with NIPUN Bharat. We work closely with key government stakeholders and ecosystem partners to develop goals, targets, and the mission roadmap. We also provide technical and management support to execute the mission(s)
Setting the direction for FLN nationally
CSF has long been working to build salience for FLN and position it as a priority in the media and with Central institutions like the Ministry of Education, NITI Aayog, CBSE, and NCERT
Supporting State Governments
CSF works with 12 states to design and operationalize State-wide FLN missions by providing long term academic and project management support
Creating Public Goods
We develop exemplar tools and classroom resources for FLN based on proven approaches such as structured pedagogy and assessment informed instruction. This includes teaching-learning material, workbooks, lesson plans, teacher guidebooks, math manipulatives, etc.
Innovations and Experiments
We ideate, pilot and study governance interventions that help ease key systemic constraints to better learning. Our current initiatives focus on improving reliability of administrative and learning data, behavior change for parents and teachers, and diagnosing state capacity on implementation.
